We offer a supportive and collaborative work culture where your skills and dedication make a real impact.What You’ll DoSummary of PositionThe Revenue Cycle Payer Enrollment & Systems Specialist is responsible for managing payer electronic enrollments (ERA, EFT, EDI claims) and maintaining those connections to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. In addition, this role supports configuration and optimization within the practice management and clearinghouse systems, using available functionality to improve claim submission, scrubbing, and reporting. The position bridges payer connectivity with system setup to drive efficiency and reduce denials.Payer Enrollment & CredentialingManage end-to-end payer enrollment and credentialing for providers across all locations. Monitor enrollment timelines and follow up with payers to ensure timely approvals. Maintain accurate records of payer contracts, enrollment statuses, and effective dates. Coordinate with HR and provider relations for onboarding and offboarding processes.Systems Configuration & MaintenanceConfigure and maintain payer profiles in EHR and billing systems (e.g., ModMed EMA, NextGen). Ensure accurate mapping of payer IDs, fee schedules, and claim routing. Collaborate with IT and billing teams to troubleshoot system issues affecting claims processing.Compliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with payer-specific requirements, HIPAA, and CMS regulations. Maintain documentation of enrollment processes, system configurations, and updates. Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation to support credentialing and billing compliance.Reporting & AnalysisGenerate reports on enrollment status, payer setup accuracy, and system performance. Analyze trends in denials and rejections related to enrollment or configuration issues. Recommend process improvements based on data insights.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with billing, coding, IT, and clinical operations to support revenue cycle goals. Serve as a liaison between the organization and payer representatives. Assist in training staff on payer setup protocols and system usage. What We're Looking ForRequired Skills / AbilitiesMinimum of 2-3 years of EDI experience in a health plan or managed care is required.2+ years of experience in a remote working environment. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Demonstrated experience and understanding of data sets and formats such as ANSI files: X12, HL7, and FHIR standards. Hands on experience having implemented 834 & 837 files for a health plan, build and troubleshoot carrier forms, and ensure accurate and efficient data exchange. Proven ability to impact process improvement and efficient operations. High level of business and technical knowledge with significant practical experience in healthcare administration or operations preferred Communicate effectively with internal staff and insurance companies. Collaborative and humble approach with internal and external resources. Able to prioritize and organize daily tasks. Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and a proven ability to lead a team to success. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of state regulations.
