Project Accounting CoordinatorTexas, United StatesJob DescriptionOverviewThe Project Accounting Coordinator role provides critical administrative and operational support to the project controller team. Responsibilities include invoicing, maintaining accurate financial documentation, assisting with cost tracking and reporting, and ensuring data consistency across project control systems. This position plays an integral part in facilitating smooth financial operations within a project-driven environment and contributes to the accuracy and efficiency of project accounting and financial oversight.ResponsibilitiesInvoice & Purchase Order CoordinationSupport Project Controllers with customer invoicing.Support with accounts payables as required.Support the tracking and processing of project requisitions and payments.Maintain logs of vendor invoices and ensure alignment with project budgets and contracts.Financial Documentation & Data ManagementOrganize and maintain financial and project control documentation, including budgets, forecasts, change orders, invoices, and cost reports.Assist in the collection and entry of project-related financial data into control systems or spreadsheets.Ensure data accuracy and consistency across project files and databases.Cost Tracking SupportHelp track committed costs, actuals, and variances under the guidance of a Project Controller.Create and manage the cost codes in the time tracking system to support project controllers and project managers.Assist in reconciling financial data between internal systems and project reports.Reporting SupportAssist in generating regular project cost reports.Help compile data for monthly or quarterly financial reviews.Administrative & Team SupportSchedule meetings and organize documentation for financial reviews.Maintain organized filing systems for financial and contractual records.This list of responsibilities might not cover everything you'll end up doing.QualificationsEducation/Experience:Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).1–2 years of experience in an administrative or financial support role is a plus.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality of financial information.Optional/Preferred SkillsBasic understanding of financial terms such as budget, actuals, variance, accruals, etc.BenefitsTotal Rewards plan designed with you and your family’s health and wellness in mind that includes:Paid days off (i.e. vacation, sick days, bereavement leave)Health and Dental plansRetirement plansEmployee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)Employee referral programIf you are interested in this role position please send me your resume through
