Being a Horizoneer means being part of a growing, international family.Position Overview:We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoice processing and payments across the MEA region. The role involves working with international vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate transactions, all while staying compliant with local regulations. This is a fast-paced and collaborative role where strong attention to detail and clear communication are key to success.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Coordination:Process payroll payments directly for Ethiopia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates in a timely mannerResponsible for communications with local CPAs to ensure payroll payment for Egypt, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, and South Africa are made on timeAccounts Payable:Full ownership of AP tasks for the MEA regionValidate and capture invoices accurately and in detailProcess vendor and contractor payments in a timely mannerMaintain AP funding forecasts for relevant countriesPerform bank statement updates and reconciliationsSystem Management & Administration:Maintain and update records in Xero for MEA countries. Moving to Netsuite soon.Respond to vendor and internal queries from the shared AP mailboxRespond to internal queries on contractor payments and timely processing of failed paymentsEnsure proper filing of financial and compliance documentationRequirements:3+ years of experience in accounts payableStrong understanding of multi-country payroll and vendor payment processesProficiency in Netsuite (mandatory) and Xero (not mandatory)Excellent attention to detail and organisational skillsTime managementAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work independently and communicate effectively across cultures and time zoWhat it's like working at HorizonsOur service & product.
