Job DescriptionWe are currently searching for a talented and driven individual to join our Asia Valuation Shared Services team within our MBPS Actuarial Function as an Actuarial Manager. Established in 2012, the team has become an actuarial center of excellence, with over 130 staff and growing, along with increasing range and ownership of deliverables, specializing in Valuation, Liability and Asset Modelling, Experience Analytics, Pricing, and more.Position ResponsibilitiesSupport IFRS 17 implementation by interpreting new standard and translate it into user requirementConsolidate, analyze and explain the financial and data analysis resultsSupport future business reporting process design and ensure complies with valuation control requirement for Business Unit team.Provide advice on results validation on developed IFRS 17 solution focusing on accuracy and efficiencyProvide documentation and training to other team members on the subject mattersProvide ad-hoc support to the team (e.g. AXIS modeling work) as resource pools if neededRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related fieldAt least 10 years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial ServicesAssociate designation in any recognized actuarial organization (SOA, ASP), with meaningful progress towards Fellowship.Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, SQL, Qlikview, Python or similar programsDemonstrated experience in applying actuarial concepts to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metricsProven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, organize, and report information, results, and recommendations to various levels across the organization.Strong ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, for self and others.Amenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)When You Join Our TeamWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.About Manulife And John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
