About the jobA well-established life and annuity (re)insurer is looking to add a Corporate Development Actuary to its team. This position supports the underwriting and execution of reinsurance and M&A transactions across US and international markets. Responsibilities:
Research product structures and help translate them into specs for the modeling teamHelp develop assumptions and inforce files used in pricingCollaborate with the investment team to incorporate asset strategies into actuarial modelsLead ALM projections to support pricing for block reinsurance and legal entity dealsMaintain and improve models used for setting rates on new and existing flow reinsuranceWork across actuarial, risk, and finance teams to ensure model integrity and consistencyQualifications:
5+ years of experience in life insurance or reinsurance, ideally with exposure to M&A and/or reinsuranceFSA or Career ASAHands-on modeling experience, preferably in AXISSolid technical skills with a strong eye for detailComfortable working across teams and juggling multiple deadlinesStrong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearlySomeone who enjoys solving problems and wants to be part of a fast-moving, collaborative environment
