Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 22 offices with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are a hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate group of professionals who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.CMW has maintained year-on-year growth since its establishment in 2012, and the Brisbane office is seeking to bring on an Administrator/Accounts Officer for fixed-term maternity cover. Primarily, this role supports the QLD and Northern NSW region. The role is varied and would suit someone with a strong background in accounts/bookkeeping who is happy to get stuck in and help out wherever required to keep the office running smoothly. Outside of accounts, you'll also be involved with general, project-related and administrative tasks.This position will start in early January 2026 and continue until September 2026, with the opportunity to transfer to permanent for the right candidate.ResponsibilitiesTimely processing of monthly accounts, reporting & reconciliationsEffective maintenance and administration of a range of office systems such as the Health & Safety System and Quality System in conjunction with the Office ManagerEfficient running of the office including supplies, mail, calls and messages, couriers, photocopying, binding and general office maintenanceAccurate documentation of key meetings such as audits, health and safety meetings and team meetingsOrganisation of key communications and events for staffQualification/ExperiencePrevious experience working within a professional services office environment.2 + years experience with accounts and invoicingRelevant qualification in administration, bookkeeping, business or similar.MYOB experience preferredPersonal AttributesOrganised and able to able to prioritise tasksHard working, sociable and well presentedPersonally committed to workplace safetyEnthusiasm for innovative and practical solutionsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong team playerClear, confident and articulate communicatorAbility to think on your feetAble to meet deadlines and self-organiseStrong organisational skills with high attention to detailAbility to multi-task, problem-solve and work in a fast-paced office environment.BenefitsSocial and collaborative work cultureAdditional day leave on your birthday37.5 hours per week, full-time position with flexible start and finish timesPersonal novated lease options and employee discount platformOffice social events throughout the yearand that's just the beginning.Apply to find out more.
