Company DescriptionEasy Does It Emergency Services (EDI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving individuals with disabilities and older adults living independently in Berkeley. EDI provides emergency attendant care, wheelchair-accessible transportation, and wheelchair repair services to support clients during unforeseen crises or temporary lapses in regular care.Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Administrative Assistant supports management by performing a range of administrative, transactional, and customer service tasks essential to daily operations. Responsibilities include answering and directing office calls, managing office voicemail, and coordinating the collection, processing, and storage of office documentation such as internal communications, client records, and financial transactions. Additional duties may include handling mailings, meeting notes, filing, and organizing office spaces. This position reports to the Deputy Executive Director.Compensation$25.00-$27.00 per hourEssential FunctionsFiling and document archivingAnswering office main phone lineRegistering clients for services over the phoneTaking client payments in-person and over the phone. Preparing and sending mailingsPreparing expenditure forms for accountingAssisting with past-due invoicesProcessing vouchers for reimbursement. Reviewing Salesforce records for accuracyScanning and storing documentsPerforming other duties as assignedQualificationsUnderstanding of disability, personal care services, substance abuse, trauma, and sensitive issuesMinimum 6 months of experience in administration, reception, guest services, or customer serviceAbility to remain calm and respond appropriately to urgent or crisis situationsProfessional, flexible, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong verbal, written, and listening skillsProficiency with Microsoft 365Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and delivering exceptional customer serviceAbility to work effectively in diverse environments and build positive relationshipsAdditional InformationEDI is subject to the City of Berkeley Living Wage OrdinanceAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or Veteran status.
