Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Telecommunications Aerial Coordinator to manage aerial construction crews in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of aerial fiber optic and coaxial cable infrastructure in the Toledo, OH area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerial telecom construction and field operations, with proven leadership and coordination skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage aerial line construction crews performing pole work, strand placement, lashing, and fiber optic/cable installationManage and coordinate in-house staff and subcontractors working on aerial projectsEnsure implementation and compliance with safety and quality programs across all aerial crewsIssue daily work orders to in-house aerial crews and monitor field progressReview and approve material requests specific to aerial fiber construction (strand, lashing wire, J-hooks, etc.)Plan, prepare, and issue aerial construction schedules, tasks, and job sequencingMaintain and update project documentation including schedules, redlines, and as-builtsReport project status, field crew availability, and any issues or delays to managementEnsure aerial projects are delivered safely, on-time, and within budgetOversee the preparation, content, and quality control of aerial construction deliverablesCoordinate the movement of aerial personnel, trucks, equipment (buckets, reels, etc.) to and from job sitesEnsure all field teams comply with health & safety policies, traffic control requirements, and aerial construction standardsMaintain effective emergency communication procedures for remote and elevated work sitesPreferred QualificationsExperience in aerial telecommunications construction and coordinationFamiliarity with NESC standards and aerial construction best practicesKnowledge of utility pole permitting, make-ready, and right-of-way regulationsComfortable working around active roadways, heights, and power infrastructureAdditional Abilities:Proven experience managing aerial crews and telecom field operationsAbility to make impactful decisions with independence and sound judgmentExcellent communication skills, including coordination with utilities and municipal contactsStrong project management skills with ability to define scope and timelinesAbility to mentor junior field staff and enforce aerial safety protocolsProficiency in construction documentation, spreadsheets, and scheduling softwareTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced field environmentMust be able to pass a drug screen and background checkMust be authorized to work in the United StatesBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid HolidaysVacation & PTO401K Retirement Savings Plan
