Senior Compliance Manager

Our client, a boutique investment office in the Cayman Islands, is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to join the Management Committee for their Cayman and Bermuda entities, overseeing regulatory compliance and assisting in the strategic management of both jurisdictions. This individual will lead a small team of Compliance Coordinators across Cayman and Bermuda, ensuring thorough KYC and AML/ATF processes are in place, conducting client risk assessments, and maintaining ongoing monitoring programs in line with evolving regulatory requirements.

The Senior Compliance Manager will act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, overseeing all filings, reports, and correspondence while ensuring leadership is kept informed of developments in local and international regulations. This role will also be responsible for maintaining and updating compliance manuals and procedures, monitoring adherence to investment mandates, and preparing comprehensive board reports. Please note, our client is happy for this role to sit in the Cayman Islands or Bermuda. Requirements A recognized investment or compliance-related qualification with at least five years of experience in the investment/financial services industry.

At least five years of compliance experience gained at a management level satisfying OECD financial regulatory requirement. Thorough knowledge of Cayman and/or Bermuda regulatory requirements. Ability to read, absorb, and clarify regulatory legislation prescribing procedures for compliance. Demonstrate the ability to motivate and manage staff to complete regulatory tasks within tight time frames. Strong analytical, organizational, time management and forward planning skills, with good business acumen, attention to detail, and the tendency to take action without prompting.
