OverviewAgro Cold Storage Assistant Manager will manage cold storage operations including the staff to receive, store and supply potatoes according to production requirements while optimizing the storage process to limit the level of damage while optimizing storage utilization. This role will also ensure cold storage operates in the best conditions and propose initiatives to improve operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesIn this role we will count on you to:Agro Cold Storage:Plan to arrange personnel to receive potatoes based on the supplier's or Agro Team's plans to optimize warehouse costs and ensure potato quality.Based on the results of Agro QC's potato quality inspection, plan and coordinate with the production and quality departments to supply potatoes for production in a timely manner while optimizing potato quality to avoid potato disposal.Plan to periodically monitor potato condition to ensure potatoes are always in the best condition during storage.Supervise process implementation (inbound and outbound process, potato destruction process, etc.) at the cold storage to ensure that potatoes are fully and accurately stored in quantity and quality.Provide feedback on potato quality results at the factory to Agro Team and suppliers to ensure that potatoes arriving at the factory meet quantity and quality standards.Periodically report on key control indicators (KPIs) of the cold storage.Monitor and inspect periodically to ensure that equipment at the cold storage is operating according to technical standards, notify relevant departments when problems arise for timely repair.As Control Owner, perform control roles and responsibilities according to PepsiCo's control model (PepsiCo Accountability Model). Support Process Owner in implementing GCS plan. Understand the purpose of the relevant control element and note the attributes in the test scenario to effectively implement that control element, evaluate the effectiveness of the control element through testing according to GCS guidelines and maintain an audit trail to document the performance of activities. Ensure timely corrective actions for errors related to control elements.Building Team Capacity:Organize employee training on techniques and work processes to help employees perform their jobs safely and effectively.Train and assist production staff in adjusting and calibrating equipment to meet production operating requirements.Set goals and evaluate work achievements according to the PMP process for employeesRecommend rewards and discipline for employeesCommunicate policies and related information to employees in the department promptlyParticipate in periodic meetings between supervisors and team leaders to agree on implementation plans and update issues related to techniques, production plans and work performance results.Participate in troubleshooting equipment problems and managing human resources for employees (if employees cannot solve problems)QualificationsWhat you will need to have:Min Bachelor's degree in a related field (ideally agronomy or agro technology)Proficiency in MS Office applications with excellent Excel and PowerPoint skillsProven communication skills in English - verbal and writtenCommunication skillsProblem solving skills.Strong analytical abilityResults Driven with attention to detailsAbility to find solutions and adaptInitiative and follow through, process oriented
