The role combines artificial intelligence, energy management, and applied engineering, to develop, and implement AI-driven solutions for optimizing energy storage, distribution, and grid interaction across industrial, commercial, and renewable energy systems. The position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the advancement of AI-driven clean energy systems, working in a team committed to pioneering intelligent and sustainable infrastructure.Key activities and responsibilities of the role include:Design and deploy AI/ML models, particularly neural networks for load forecasting, energy storage optimization, anomaly detection in grid operations, predictive maintenance and fault classification among other featuresIntegrate machine learning pipelines into operational Energy Management Systems (EMS) and SCADA architecturesDevelop and simulate electrical power system models and apply reinforcement learning or optimization algorithms to dynamic energy problemsCreate robust data pipelines and preprocessing frameworks for training on large volumes of time-series sensor dataCollaborate cross-functionally with software, hardware, and power systems engineers to deploy intelligent energy solutions at scaleMaintain high-performance codebases primarily in Python (with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, etc.), and use MATLAB, C++ as neededContribute to the architecture of AI services integrated with real-time control systems or cloud-based energy platformsRequirementsBachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related fieldsA minimum of 4-years of industry or academic experience working on AI/ML for energy systemsVery good understanding of developing and deploying learning models, particularly for time-series or control-oriented tasksSolid grasp of electrical power systems, battery dynamics, and grid interaction principlesExcellent software engineering skills with version control and modular design principlesFamiliarity with online learning, real-time inference, or edge-deployed AI modelsExperience with digital twins, physics-informed neural networks (PINNs), or hybrid AI/control system modelsExcellent written and verbal knowledge of EnglishBenefitsTo start with, we give you the opportunity to thrive in a restless team and grow your potential in an innovative environment.
