This role is perfect for someone passionate about environmental science and keen to make a real impact.As an Air Quality Technician, you will play a key role in collecting accurate, reliable, and consistent odour samples. You’ll work with sampling systems and instruments at various sites across New Zealand, including industrial facilities such as wastewater treatment plants. You’ll also contribute to a range of environmental and indoor air quality monitoring projects.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganise and manage the odour laboratory, including operation of the olfactometer.Coordinate and roster odour panelists.Undertake sampling at multiple sites throughout New Zealand.Calibrate and maintain instrumentation.Conduct odour assessments and nose calibrations.Submit samples for analysis, perform calculations, and report results.Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About youTo Succeed In This Role, You Will HaveA tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering (preferably Chemistry or Environmental).Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Word and Excel.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to travel within New Zealand.A full driver’s licence (manual gearbox).You’ll also need to be physically fit for occasional heavy lifting and comfortable working at heights.Ngā hua mōu | What's in it for youWe offer a competitive salary and staff benefits package including: Training and development opportunities Life and income protection insurance plans Generous parental leave Employee discounts at a range of large retailersMe pēhea te tono mai | How to ApplyCome and join our team!
