📍 Location: South-eastern Suburbs  💼 Employment Type: Part-Time (Flexible) Making a Difference in Children’s Everyday Lives Are you passionate about helping children learn, move, and grow?  At First Step Therapy Services (FSTS), we’re looking for an enthusiastic and caring Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join our team. If you enjoy working with children and want to support their developmental goals under the guidance of experienced therapists, this is the perfect opportunity for you. What We Offer Monthly supervision and mentoring with our Senior Therapists. Ongoing professional development, including quarterly in-service training. A collaborative and supportive team environment. Opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. Flexible hours to support study or personal commitments. Your Role Assist in Therapy Delivery: Support therapists during sessions by helping children with exercises, play-based activities, and therapy routines. Support Individual Programs: Implement therapy plans designed by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech Pathologists for children with varying needs. Engage with Families: Provide feedback to families and encourage at-home activities that reinforce therapy goals. Monitor and Report Progress: Observe, document, and communicate children’s responses and progress to the supervising therapist. Administrative Support: Maintain accurate session notes, organize therapy equipment, and manage scheduling tasks. Promote Positive Participation: Create a fun, safe, and motivating environment that supports each child’s confidence and independence. What You’ll Bring Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or currently studying for a degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetics or Speech Pathology. Experience working with children (preferred but not essential). Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Passion for helping children with additional needs achieve their goals. Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with supervising therapists. Compliance Requirements Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Screening Check First Aid and CPR Certification Current Australian Driver’s License About Us At First Step Therapy Services (FSTS), we provide high-quality physiotherapy and allied health services for children aged 0–18 years. Our team takes a holistic, play-based approach that focuses on each child’s unique developmental journey. We are committed to: Creating activity-based programs that engage and empower children. Setting functional goals and providing hands-on support to achieve them. Working collaboratively with families and other professionals to enhance outcomes. Why Join Us Rewarding Work: Make a meaningful impact by helping children achieve their therapy goals. Collaborative Team: Work alongside experienced allied health professionals in a supportive environment. Professional Growth: Receive on-the-job training, mentoring, and skill development opportunities. Flexibility: Enjoy work hours that fit around your university or personal schedule. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is eager to grow their career in pediatrics. 📞 Contact Tammy on 0451 091 261 for a confidential discussion.  📧 Email your resume to: info@fsts.com.au ✨ Take the first step with FSTS — and help children take theirs.
