Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.The Client Insights & Analytics team exists to support data driven decision making within the Global Banking and Markets division.The Mandate Of The Team Is ToIncrease Scotiabank’s relevance with corporate and institutional clientsDevelop client strategies with the business lines and drive its execution through data analytics Support the monitoring of financial performance against plans, initiatives and objectives Leverage internal and external client data to facilitate opportunity identification Define and deliver CRM software enhancements that drive business value Liaise with technology to enhance data quality and integrityWhat You’ll DoChampion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledgeMaintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports that leverage Salesforce data, ensuring alignment with business needs and data governance standardsCollaborate with Salesforce admins and business stakeholders to understand data structures, workflows, and reporting requirementsDesign and optimize DAX queries and Power BI data models for performance and scalabilityBuild and maintain robust ETL processes using Power Query and other data transformation toolsProactively seek opportunities to improve reporting, uncover insights, and challenge assumptions through dataDemonstrate intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous learning, staying current with BI tools and data trendsThrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of solving complex data problemsStrong analytical mindset with a bias for action and a desire to understand the "why" behind the dataOpportunity to grow into a senior analytics or data strategy role within GBM, contributing to enterprise-level initiativesUnderstand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisionsActively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct riskChampion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environmentWhat You’ll BringUndergraduate degree in finance/economics/math/computer science.3+ years of experience in client analytics, data analytics, business analysis, financial reporting or similar roleMinimum 1 year of experience in data analysis/data management preferably with a CRM systemStrong communication skills and ability to clearly explain complex topics in a simple wayStrong experience in large-scale data remediation projects is a major plusExcellent knowledge of IT/Data best practices and database conceptsStrong experience with process implementation and improvementStrong experience in data reconciliation, management, aggregation and analysis techniquesKnowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Agile is a plusStrong understanding of 3rd party data (such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ) and API integrationExperience with Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce or Python is preferredDetail oriented and customer focusedAbility to be a self-starter who excels working independently with minimal supervisionExperience in a work environment with frequently shifting prioritiesWork ArrangementThis position is currently an onsite role, with the expectation that you will work 4-5 days a week in the office.
