Job Description

Position Title - Area Sales Manager-General Trade Location – Ahmedabad (Will be accountable for the entire Gujarat)Total Experience - 7 to 15 Years (Minimum in Similar Role)Qualification - MBA (Full Time is compulsory)Reporting to Branch Sales ManagerDirect Reporting - Yes (4 to 5 On Roll Employees approx.)Languages Known- English & Hindi & Gujarati (Preferred)Industry- FMCD/Consumer Durable/FMEG & FMCG.Key Responsibilities:-SalesGive sales plan category/product/channel-wise- per month, after discussion with key distributors and dealersDaily tracking of sales plan, expectation vs. reality, billing (value achievement of every channel)Tracking and updating the Daily Sales ReportEnsuring Product Mix in the sales and indenting for productsEnsuring new products and launches are communicated to the market, and the launches are happening on timeMonitoring Competitors' activity in the MarketMonitoring effective use of POP materials along with Co’s products prominently displayed at all retail shopsEnsure Company objectives are being fulfilled in a month and cascade the same to team members: working with Field Force in the MarketProvide effective customer serviceIdentifying new distributors and markets to start or develop new markets/territories, understanding why the brand is not availableEnsuring new channel mix in the portfolio- to reduce dependency on distributorsCoordinating with the Depot/Logistics on a day-to-day basis in terms of getting the right Product Mix, and dispatch of goods to respective towns/distributors.Cost ControlControl on outstanding: tracking payments/outstanding from channel partnersEnsuring timely payment from Distributors as per the stipulated time given to them.Promotional ActivitiesMonitoring Schemes in Retail Trade and Distributors.Monitoring and implementing successful promotional activities from time to timeMonitoring competitor activity and reporting the sameAddressing and resolving issues from the dealer/distributor point of view.Subordinate DevelopmentProviding on-the-job training to subordinatesRemarks-Good Communication Skills and clarity of thought in terms of the Sales Process.Looking for a stable candidate (Frequent job changes will not be considered)Strong Exposure to Channel Sales is compulsory.Local Candidates are preferred.Team Handling is compulsory (Compulsory to handle On Roll Team Only)Strong data analytical skills (Working knowledge of Excel is essential)Willingness to travel a minimum of 10 to 12 days. ·Candidates should have handled a minimum business of 15 Crs PA and above will be considered.Candidates with 30 to 45 Days’ notice period will be considered.
