Role OverviewAlbany Beck are seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI systems. This role focuses on leveraging large-scale data, building robust machine learning algorithms, and continuously evaluating and improving AI processes to drive measurable business impact.You will play a key role in shaping AI strategy, managing Azure-based AI infrastructure, and collaborating cross-functionally to define and achieve AI objectives across a secure, scalable cloud environment.Key ResponsibilitiesData & AnalysisCollect, process, and analyse large volumes of structured and unstructured dataDesign data pipelines to support scalable AI developmentEnsure data quality, governance, and integrityAI Development & EngineeringProgram AI software to effectively leverage large datasetsDevelop, test, and deploy machine learning algorithms into productionOptimize model performance, scalability, and efficiencyImplement continuous improvement processes for AI systemsEvaluation & OptimizationEvaluate machine learning workflows and model performanceDesign metrics and benchmarking frameworks to assess AI effectivenessConduct experiments and performance tuning to improve outcomesIdentify and mitigate bias, risk, and performance bottlenecksInfrastructure & Project ManagementManage AI-related data infrastructure and cloud environmentsOversee project timelines and AI system lifecycle managementEnsure systems are reliable, secure, and production-readySupport CI/CD processes for AI deploymentCollaboration & LeadershipCollaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define AI goalsTranslate business requirements into technical AI solutionsProvide guidance and mentorship to junior engineersStay up to date on emerging AI research, tools, and industry best practicesRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data engineeringStrong experience collecting, processing, and analysing large datasetsProven track record of developing and deploying AI algorithms in production environmentsStrong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Machine LearningExperience building and managing MLOps workflows in AzureStrong understanding of model evaluation techniques and performance metricsExperience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (AKS)Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical team
