Job DescriptionJob Title - Financial ControllerTeam - Finance Location - Leixlip, Co. Kildare, IrelandRockland - About UsRockland Concrete supplies, installs and operates batching plants for our clients throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. Rockland is part of the TSL Group and has companies in UK, Ireland and Portugal. Rockland is rapidly expanding the business across Europe and needs an experienced Financial Controller to help assist in this growth.Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Finance Controller:Prepare and publish monthly financial statements on a timely basis and to a high standard. Reconcile the Financial Ledger, managing cashflow, authorising invoices, ensuring approval by the Chief Operating Officer/Group Financial Director for those over a particular value. Prepare and submit VAT, RCT, CIS and comply with any other statutory reporting requirements and tax filing.Lead regular budget reviews, tracking actual vs target performance and ensuring remedial action is taken where necessary. Ensure internal control policies are in place. Managing the Business Expense System. Lead the thinking on risk management, building risk considerations into business processes. Research technical accounting issues of compliance including tax, intercompany accounting and reconciliations. Support preparation for financial audits ensuring any resulting recommendations are acted upon promptly. Lead the annual budgeting process, business preparing budgets and undertaking forecast preparations. Provide analytical support for investment decisions, preparing business case documentation and presentations as required.Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement Skills and Experience Required for the for the Finance Controller:Qualified Accountant Considerable Financial Controller or similar experience across Accounting and Finance Experience working in the construction sector.Experience working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience of UK VAT & CIS.Experience creating financial statements, general ledger functions and month end/year end close process Experience of growing companies where costs need to be controlled in line with growth Exceptional IT skills, proficient in the use of project/construction accounting software, financial reporting applications, spread sheets and databases – ERP implantation skills would be highly advantageous Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Ability to work on own initiativeCan do attitude Please submit an expression of interest by submitting your CV to recruitment@tslprojects.com.
