We put the customer and our community at the centre of all that we do, ensuring our services are efficient and accessible.Artrise is Council's new arts and culture facility located at Jacksons Hill, Sunbury.We’re looking for an experienced Arts Activation Officer to support the development of a thriving creative community on site.Based on site, the role will foster and facilitate the activation of the site, working closely with arts groups, creative practitioners and cultural groups and supporting the Community Advisory Board.What you’ll be doing:Fostering and facilitating site activation within Artrise maximising use by potential users, including arts groups, creative practitioners, cultural groups, families and more. Developing a quarterly activation program calendar and delivering creative programs and activities which attract visitors of all ages and enhance audience engagement in the arts and in the Artrise. Providing support to the Community Advisory Board in planning and developing the future operations of the Precinct. Developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies and campaigns to activate the spaces to ensure maximum utilisation, in line with Artrise objectives. Developing, implementing and evaluating community arts related use and including artists in residence programs. The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:Proven ability to activate arts spaces and develop and deliver place-based programs in the arts and culture sector. Proven knowledge of arts and culture community development principles and participatory program development within arts precincts Proven ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs, services and activities in consultation with community groups, service providers and residents and in response to identified community Sound knowledge of project management principles with the ability to coordinate programs, activations and place-based activities responsive to community needs and cultural contexts. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and operation of community arts facilities. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing programs that increase community access to the arts, enhance audience engagement, and drive visitation. Proficient in arts marketing and promotion, with expertise in creating communications which support audience development and program visibility. Experience in a local government context. Required Certifications & QualificationsDegree or Diploma in the arts or a related field with some relevant experience; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience in similar or comparable organisations. Current driver’s license.
