Help us grow a thriving arts future in SurpriseAs the first Arts Development Coordinator for Surprise Arts, you'll join a performing-arts program that already has a commitment of funding by the City of Surprise - giving you the freedom to focus on growth rather than survival. Your work will directly expand programming and deepen community impact, partnering closely with the Vista Foundation to support programs at the Vista Center for the Arts, a premier venue featuring a 1,300-seat theater and a 200-seat playhouse. In the early years, you'll collaborate with an experienced fundraising consultant to shape board development and long-term strategy, building on a solid financial foundation to inspire creativity, inclusion, and lasting support for the arts in Surprise.ÂSummaryCoordinates and oversees the strategies to maintain and increase contributed revenue to support various Surprise Arts programs, including the presenting series, public art, arts education, and community programming. This role will coordinate fundraising strategies, craft compelling proposals and reports, and foster strong relationships with partner foundations, donors, sponsors and funding organizations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional writing, communication and organizational skills.EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCETwo (2) years of recent experience working in fundraising in the fields of philanthropy, non-profit organizations, performing arts, museums, and/or cultural services.
