From preparing the business case and advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.Overview Of The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Finance Department based in Madrid.Key Responsibilities And Duties IncludeReconcile accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple accounting systemsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesPrepare and deliver financial information to external accountants for tax filings and statutory reportingFacilitate internal and external audits by providing required documentationAssist and process employee expense claims, accounts receivable and payableMonitor and review employee timesheetsMaintain compliance with corporate policies and local regulationAd hoc support across the finance function, other general administration tasksCandidate specificationEssentialDegree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldStrong knowledge of the Spanish General Chart of Accounts (Plan General Contable)Experience in reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and IFRS standardsMinimum 5 years in financial accounting or audit within an international environmentExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishDesirablePursuing an internationally recognised accounting qualificationEquality, diversity, and inclusionWe put equality, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of our business, seeking to promote fair employment procedures and practices to ensure equal opportunities for all.
