Job DescriptionOrganization Unit PurposeGCD BBCU manages the underwriting function for Micro SME Loan products. The unit caters to processing of Merchant Loans, Business Loan, Fleet Finance and Mortgage Loans for companies and self employed customers. Loans are granted based on Length of business of customer, income / turnover calculation within approved policy guidelines & approved under delegated authority level.The BBCU Mortgages facilitates.The retail lending for the purchase of Home / Office and Self Construction on existing plots.Analysis and Verifies Mortgage Loans, evaluates financial risks, and extends final decision for the loan applications. Job PurposeTo review and underwrite Mortgage Loan applications received by determining the potential of a customer to pay against a loan based on their income and existing liabilities. Review of Audited Financials, VAT returns, Bank statements to check the repayment capacity and financial health of the company. As part of the review of the audited financials calculate financial ratios, analyze the same with observations and comments.Process the application within the central bank framework and approved ENBD product policy and process.To take prudent credit decisions as per the delegation of authority. In case the application is not meeting policy criteria or has deviations it is escalated with mitigants at appropriate level.Ensure application is processed within stipulated turnaround time.Should have good knowledge on After Sales of mortgage loans. Job ContentEvaluate Loan applicationsTo ensure policy criteria is followed, all dedupe checks are reviewed, evaluation of customer by way of income/turnover calculation is done correctly to grant appropriate loan amountLoan applications are processed within TATManaging day to day volumes and ensure decisions are provided within the TAT.Manage internal stakeholders.Interaction with Sourcing team to address their concerns and review relook requests.Interaction with RCC and other teams within the bank.Ensuring satisfactory Audit Ratings done by INA and Central Bank.Ensuring controls and processes are followed as per the banks approved process and policies.EducationCA/CFA / CPA/ MBA in financeExperiencesMin. 3 years work experience in evaluating Mortgage Loans in UAE.Good Interpersonal skills.Good communication skills,Proficient in English language - Written & Verbal.Mortgage industry knowledgeKnowledge of Bank products, systems, Finacle, Way4, FINNONE requiredKnowledge of Credit Risk assessment for Salaried and Self-employed CustomersGood Skills in Excel, Ms Word. Knowledge & SkillsExperience in credit department in underwriting is a must.Should have at least 5 years’ experience in retail or corporate credit department.Minimum one year in current roleGood written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of Core system functions – (Fin one/Finacle)Ability to work under pressure along with good time management skills and adherence to deadlines.Strong data analysis skills, attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.Relationship and conflict managementCommunication skillsNegotiation and InfluencingAchievement orientedBehavioral CompetenciesJob knowledge and efficiency.Adaptability to the situationsProactive Follow up and Sense of responsibility.Positive attitudeWillingness to stay back and support for workload share.Data Quality, Accuracy and maintain T.A.T
