Our people are not only driving the business, they are all contributing towards the growth of the food industry worldwide.Let's give you a quick sneak peek into the life of an Assistant Manager International LogisticsAs an Assistant Manager International Logistics, you will ensure that all documentation and correspondence with distributors regarding tracking of orders & shipment intimations and all pre-dispatch shipping documents are arranged timely. Additionally, you will be responsible for carrying out freight negotiations with shipping lines/freight forwarders and executing all SAP TM module-related transactions.Things you will be doing as an Assistant Manager International LogisticsEnsure timely creation of Financial Instrument (FI) documents with banks in accordance with approved sales agreements and export termsInitiate and manage RFQs through the Shan Foods Portal, ensuring alignment with internal policies and obtaining necessary management approvalsProcess, verify, and reconcile all export documentation (invoices, packing lists, OBL, Health, Halal certificates, etc.) before submission to relevant stakeholdersPrepare and coordinate the issuance of Health Certificates through the Department of Plant Protection (DPP), ensuring compliance with destination country requirementsDraft and release regulatory certificates, including Halal, Non-GMO, Phytosanitary Certificates, and Laboratory Reports, in accordance with export market regulationsConduct due diligence, validation, and reconciliation of all vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and service alignmentProcess and post vendor invoices in SAP within defined timelines, adhering to service level agreements and company financial policiesMaintain end-to-end shipment traceability, providing regular transit updates to BDMs and distributors across the UK, Europe, Far East, South Asia, and the USAEnsure that containers sail as per the planned schedule and communicate confirmed shipment details to all relevant distributorsMonitor and manage KPIs related to export customs clearance under the Export Facilitation Scheme (EFS) to ensure smooth operations and compliance with SBP and Customs regulationsCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders — including clearing and forwarding agents, transportation providers, fumigators, ports, and terminals to ensure seamless container arrangements, documentation flow, and timely vessel loadingNegotiate and arrange contracts with shipping lines, fumigation, and transportation vendors in alignment with Approved Operating Plans (AOPs) .Compile and present monthly reports covering ocean freight and export transportation performance, cost analysis, and service summaries for management reviewTrack vendor performance against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), identifying gaps, implementing corrective actions, and facilitating onboarding new vendors as required to maintain service efficiencyDevelop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and vendor contracts to ensure operational consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement across all export logistics functionsWhat are we looking for in you?Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain4-6 years of core experience in export logisticsKnowledge of export documentation and shippingPlanning & OrganizingTeam player & Decision-Making SkillsAnalytical & Communication skillsStakeholder management
