Commencing Term 1, 2026:  Assistant Principal 0.8FTE Kamaroi is seeking an educational leader to join our primary school as Assistant Principal.  Our school is undergoing a period of growth, with a deep commitment to pedagogical alignment, curriculum quality, wellbeing support and leadership development. The Assistant Principal works collaboratively with the Principal and leadership team to lead and strengthen: Pedagogical Leadership: Lead and strengthen teaching practice, whole-school pedagogical development and curriculum alignment, integrating Steiner principles, ASCF framework, NESA requirements, and strategic goals.  Teacher Supervision & Professional Growth: Implementing a teacher development program leading induction, teacher performance and development cycle, supervision, mentoring, appraisals and feedback. Curriculum, Accreditation & Compliance: Induction, mentoring, supervision, and appraisal processes aligned with the Highly Accomplished Steiner Teacher Accreditation (HASTA) framework and AITSL standards. Ensuring ASCF and NESA requirements are met and supporting teacher accreditation. Behaviour & Wellbeing Leadership: Working closely with the Director of Student Wellbeing to embed clear, consistent behaviour/ social integration systems. Strategic Leadership: Supporting the Principal in leading and implementing educational priorities and whole-school initiatives. Acting Principal Duties: Stepping into full leadership when required, with delegated authority. The role reports to the Principal and Board. By blending Steiner-inspired relational leadership with clear, consistent educational direction and organisational accountability. Our conscious and collaborative community supports children with ‘a foundation for life’. Key Selection Criteria Essential Demonstrated educational leadership in a school environment. Strong experience and understanding of Steiner pedagogy and child development. Demonstrated capability in teacher supervision and performance development Knowledge of ASCF, NESA requirements and AITSL standards.  Experience with or strong knowledge of curriculum, compliance and accreditation Ability to balance compliance within a collegial culture.  Highly developed interpersonal, communication and relational skills, a commitment to inner work, aptitude for working as a team.  Ability to navigate complex behaviour and wellbeing matters with care and efficacy. Strategic thinking and strong organisational capability. A dedication to inner work in all that we do.  NESA-accredited teacher with a valid WWCC. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute to whole-school planning and initiatives.  A conscious approach to leadership, caring for children, families, and staff. Desirable Postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership, or Steiner studies. Experience leading teacher accreditation. Capability in policy review, pedagogical projects, research or school improvement work. Qualifications Teaching degree (recognised by NESA). NESA accreditation (Proficient or above). Valid Working With Children Check. Commitment to ongoing professional learning. How to Apply  Applications should include:   A cover letter, clearly outlining your suitability for the specific role being advertised based on selection criteria.   Current CV detailing your relevant qualifications and relevant experience.  Current contact details of three professional referees, including one recent supervisor. Copies of qualifications and NESA accreditation. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check as required under the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.   Applications are due by Friday, 12 December 2025 or sooner, and should be directed to:  The Principal at kamaroi@kamaroi.nsw.edu.au.    For a confidential conversation about the role, please contact: the principal as above.   The salary scale for this position is commensurate with the Independent Schools (Teachers) CMEA 2025 Award.  Child Safe Commitment: All children and young people who come to Kamaroi Rudolf Steiner School have a right to feel and be safe.
