Coordinate with Campus Facilities management, contractors and service providers for necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and facility upgrades. Oversee regular inspections to ensure operational efficiency and safety. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational anciency.Oversee Administrative Functions For Residences Overseeing tasks such as: Record keeping. Corridor and room content lists. Document management (ensure reports are filed in accordance with record management norms). Office supplies (ordered and within budget). Facilities maintenance.Staff Management Approval of leave and sick leave for 24 Residence Officers. Provide continuous training on Admin procedures to residence offers. Purposeful communication with Section Head, staff and Residence Management. Ad-hoc duties as required. Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff. Address employee concerns and performance issues in collaboration with section head. Ensure that workplace policies and procedures are effectively communicated and adhered to. Ensure that Performance Management agreements are in place and milestones are met timeously Promote a positive and productive work environment.Occupational Health and safety (OHS) Ensure all occupational health and safety (OHS) policies are followed and implemented. Conduct risk assessments and address any workplace hazards. Liaise with health and safety officers to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Manage workplace incident reports and follow up on corrective actions.Liaison Internal liaison with departments, residence management, students, staff, and residence officers. External liaison with parents, potential students and Service Providers. Arrangement of training courses for RO's.Key Functional/ Technical Competencies Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. A good client service orientation. Computer skills in Excel, Word, e-mails, and internet. Strong organization, administration and multitasking abilities. Strong interpersonal skills. Good communication (verbal and in writing) in English, Tswana, and Afrikaans. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.Key Behavioural Competencies Excellent leadership, problem-solving and communication skills. Good people relations; liaise externally with parents and potential students. The ability to manage staff and their work ethics. Equal moderately temper. Good management ability to handle telephone enquiries, students, and personnel at the same time.Minimum Requirements A relevant bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7). A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in budgeting and financial oversight. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
