A leading Financial Services Group is seeking an Associate Director to join its Corporate Development (M&A) team in Melbourne. This role supports strategic growth through acquisitions, divestments, and broader transformation initiatives across the business.A well-established institution with operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. The Corporate Development team partners with senior leadership to deliver complex transactions and strategic projects that shape the direction of the group.Key Responsibilities Lead workstreams across the M&A lifecycle, from assessment through to executionDevelop financial models, valuation analysis, and strategic recommendationsCoordinate due diligence and manage internal and external stakeholdersContribute to strategic planning and investment processesPrepare clear, senior-facing presentation materialsSupport and mentor junior team members Requirements4–6 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development, strategy consulting, or transaction servicesDegree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline (postgraduate qualifications advantageous)Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skillsClear and confident communication style, with the ability to influence stakeholdersCollaborative approach and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment This is an exciting career opportunity for a finance professional looking to deepen their experience in corporate strategy that is also offering an excellent long term career & lifestyle balance.
