Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Editor at the Central Asian Journal of Nephrology, located in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Associate Editor will oversee and coordinate the editorial workflow, evaluate manuscript submissions for quality and relevance, liaise with authors and reviewers, and ensure adherence to publication deadlines. Additionally, the role includes working closely with the editorial board to uphold the journal’s standards and performing preliminary copyediting tasks. Qualifications Strong skills in Manuscript Review, Editorial Processes, and Quality AssuranceExperience with Copyediting, Proofreading, and Academic Publishing workflowsKnowledge in Medical Research, Nephrology, or related scientific disciplinesProficiency in Communication and Collaboration with authors, reviewers, and team membersAttention to detail, ability to work under deadlines, and organizational skillsAdvanced degree in medical, biological sciences, or related fields strongly preferredPrior experience in academic publishing or journal editing is a plusFluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
