You will participate in building a fully on-premises platform (no Public Cloud environment like Azure, AWS, or GCP - however, such experience can be valuable as part of your background).As a Senior Back-end Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team developing software and platform components for a new, greenfield Digital Sovereign platform. You will work on modern, scalable back-end services and actively contribute to the design, implementation, and operational assurance of high-quality technical solutions.About the OrganizationYou will be working for a leading international technology and IT service provider with a strong presence in the Netherlands and Europe. Multidisciplinary teams work on strategic and socially important digital infrastructures, encouraging autonomy, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesDeveloping back-end services and platform functionality for an on-premises cloud environmentDesigning and building microservices architectureCreating operable services, including observability (e.g., OpenTelemetry)Automating deployments using GitOps principlesSetting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions)Applying testing strategies such as TDD and BDDCollaborating within agile teams on a greenfield software platformActively contributing to the technical vision, architecture, and quality assuranceRequired Experience & SkillsRelevant back-end experienceProgramming experience in Golang Experience with:Microservices architectureAutomated testing and TDD/BDDGitOps deploymentCI/CD, preferably GitHub ActionsKubernetes (preferably also OpenShiftExperience with platform orchestration/automation is a strong plusKnowledge of on-prem virtualized networking is a strong plusExperience with modern software engineering practices and agile workingSelf-starting, proactive, and team-orientedFluent written and spoken Dutch is required
