About The RoleWe are looking for a passionate Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in back-end technologies, along with the ability to contribute to each phase of the software development lifecycle.What You Will DDesign, develop, test, and maintain features and functionalities for our web application/platformCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Product, QA) to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancementsTroubleshoot, identify, and resolve performance and scalability issuesImplement and ensure the best security practices are maintainedEnsure code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and conducting code reviewsParticipate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to help evolve the product roadmapMentor junior developers, providing guidance, and feedback to help them growStay current with the latest trends and technologies in full stack developmentWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of professional experience in full stack developmentSolid experience with back-end development using GolangFamiliarity with databases, specifically MariaDBExperience with version control systems, preferably GitFamiliarity with modern build and deployment tools like Docker, and CI/CD pipelinesExcellent problem-solving skills and a passion for technical challengesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbout StraitsXStraitsX is the pioneering payments infrastructure for digital assets space in Southeast Asia developed by Singapore-based FinTech Xfers, which is a Major Payment Institution licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore for e-money issuance (now part of Fazz).StraitsX offers personal and business accounts to deposit, hold and withdraw funds as well as to connect their accounts to digital asset platforms.
