We have something to suit everybody regardless of experience level or vessel preference.Sunsail is recruiting base technicians based in Greece and Croatia to work in the Mediterranean for the Summer. Full-season roles are available, and following successful summer placements, winter opportunities may be available.Primary duties will centre around the yachts, the base, and ports of call. Working hours vary, and you MUST be flexible to operational requirements. You are required at times to assist with flotilla duties. At the beginning and end of the season, you may be asked to carry out fleet re-fit/lay-up. The yachts are prepared for the upcoming season or furloughed for winter during these periods. It includes painting, cleaning, repairs, and anything else required to prepare the yacht for the season or place it under furlough.What Will You Be DoingCompleting turnaround service checks, yacht preparation, and deck washingBriefing clients on the yacht's systems and safety equipmentMaintenance and repairs to yacht equipment.Proactive and preventative daily maintenance checks and repairs.Engine servicing, oil and filter checks/changesMaintenance of outboards for tendersEmergency callouts for breakdowns on any of the fleetEnsuring the safety of all clients, including safety briefingsAssisting clients with queries and problemsAssisting with the general running of the baseAny other duties as advised by the Base ManagerWhat We Are Looking ForExperience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4-stroke outboard enginesA clear understanding of 12V DC electrical systemsKnowledge and a passion to learn about marine plumbing systems.Practically minded-with an ability to tackle problemsAbility to work through pressurised conditions and with time constraintsExperience in a customer-focused environmentSociable and positive personalityCommitted to their teamYacht sailing experience is desirable but not crucialOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWe believe people perform best when they can be their true selves, and diverse teams drive better results.
