As an industry leader, Chubb is an employer of choice for skilled technology professionals aspiring to develop a meaningful career in a fast-paced, diverse company with offices in most major cities in the world.Responsibilities Proactively interpret the business units’ needs and interact with their representatives, identifying the most suitable approaches for their best satisfaction and supporting the stakeholders and project managers in setting project priorities and action-plans. Manage stakeholders’ expectations and find positive outcomes in difficult situations. Adopt and implement efficient and secure procedures for application development life cycle. Identify potential project issues and promptly share them with stakeholders and the rest of the team. Evaluate performance and work on development plans of team members. Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure that applications are aligned with the organization’s goals, as well as with the customer’s needs. Oversee the performance of applications to ensure they’re always running properly. Improve our overall application development process and continuously find ways to advance our apps. Produce detailed plans of the development work of the team, identifying dependencies and optimizing resource allocation and individual assignments. Qualifications A Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field. 3+ years of e xperience in a wide range of development technologies/languages (Java 8 EE, .Net , APIs etc.) Technology stack: Spring Boot 2.x / Kafka / SQL db2 / ExtJS ( Javascript ) / MyBatis (DB access framework) / IBM Filenet Process Orchestration | Workflow , Case Manager / WebSphere Application server 8.0.x . Experience in simple data base designs and database development such as creating tables, stored procedures, and running simple queries. Familiarity and preferably applied experience in all phases of application development lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, deployment, post-go live support, maintenance). Experience with source version control, preferably Github , CI/CD, Jenkins | Ansible . Experience of build and tracking tools like Jira, Jenkins, Bug Tracking, Sonar. General knowledge of XML/JSON structures, schema definitions and transformations, SOAP | REST services . An understanding of coding guidelines and standards. Previous participation in requirements analysis, and experience in communicating with business users to refine requirements, and to understand and resolve defects or issues identified during the project lifecycle.
