Job Title: Bilingual Remote Bookkeeper – Detail-Driven Accounting SupportCompensation: USD $1,200–$1,500Location: Fully Remote (LATAM-based) | 40 hours per week | U.S. Business HoursRole Summary & MissionHigher Options is seeking a highly precise and structured Bilingual Bookkeeper to provide remote accounting support to small and mid-sized businesses across the U.S. and LATAM. If you thrive on organization, accuracy, and working independently behind the scenes, this role is built for you.You’ll own the full bookkeeping cycle—from reconciliations to reporting—with a strong focus on compliance, systems, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving financial puzzles, building reliable processes, and keeping numbers clean, without needing frequent social interaction to stay engaged.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily bookkeeping tasks, including general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliationsManage accounts payable and receivable: issue invoices, record payments, monitor outstanding balancesPrepare monthly reports: balance sheets, P&L statements, cash flow summariesSupport budgeting and forecasting with accurate historical dataEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal controls; implement process improvements or automations when relevantCommunicate with clients in both English and Spanish—primarily in writing (email, systems notes)Qualifications & Work EnvironmentExperience: 3+ years in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operationsSystems: Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with accounting tools and integrations is a plusStandards: Solid understanding of GAAP and/or local accounting practicesLanguages: Professional fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spokenAttributes: Methodical, self-directed, detail-obsessed, and comfortable working independently in a structured environmentSetup: Stable home office with high-speed internet; availability to work during U.S. business hoursWork Conditions & BenefitsContract type: Contrato de Prestación de Servicios—you are responsible for your own social security and pension payments.Schedule: Full‑time (40 hours per week), commonly Monday through Friday.
