SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Markham, Ontario. This hybrid role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our firm's financial health and contributing to our collaborative work environment.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.Manage invoicing and ensure timely collection of payments.Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.Provide support during audits and assist with tax preparation.QualificationsAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in an accountancy setting.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
