(NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion.Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture.About Our TeamWe are looking for a versatile, career-level Designer to design for our B2C creative efforts during a maternity leave cover. The candidate will report into the Senior Design Manager of Brand Studio. The ideal candidate is an expert in email, social design, and event branding. You should be comfortable balancing high-volume "evergreen" production—like weekly emails and social posts—with the high-level conceptual work required for medium-sized events.Key ResponsibilitiesEmail Design Lead: Own the end-to-end B2C email process. This includes designing all incoming email requests and proactively building/optimizing new email templates for our marketing automation flows. Full-Cycle Event Branding: Take ownership of medium-sized events from initial concepting through execution. You will create all necessary assets, including digital (landing pages, social promos) and printed (signage, collateral, swag). Social Media & Templates: Manage recurring social requests using existing templates while also designing new, fresh templates to keep our B2C social presence modern and engaging. Brand Continuity: Act as a gatekeeper for the B2C brand, ensuring all "evergreen" work remains high-quality and aligned with our established standards. Ideal ProfileCareer-Level Experience (5+ Years): You are a seasoned designer who doesn't need hand-holding. You can walk into an existing brand system and immediately start producing at a high level. Email Subject Matter Expert: Deep knowledge of email design best practices, including layout optimization, mobile-first design, and working with modular templates. Print & Digital Fluency: You understand the technical nuances of both worlds—from setting up "bleed" for print assets to optimizing assets for web and mobile. Self-Directed & Organized: Since you will be covering a core team member, you must be excellent at managing your own queue and communicating timelines to stakeholders. Concept to Execution: You have a portfolio that shows you can take a "big idea" for an event and break it down into dozens of smaller, functional assets. Collaboration StyleFull-Time Availability (Temporary): Unlike our "on-call" bench, this role requires consistent, daily availability to cover a full-time seat during the leave period. Stakeholder Management: Comfortable taking feedback from marketing leads and B2C stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Canada located role is $72,500 - $82,500 CAD.Work Environment & FlexibilityAt OpenTable, we pride ourselves on fostering a global and dynamic work environment. As a team member with us, you will benefit from a schedule tailored to accommodate a global workforce operating across multiple time zones. While the majority of your responsibilities may align with conventional business hours, there will be instances where you are expected to manage communications - via calls, Slack messages, or emails - outside of regular working hours to effectively collaborate with international colleagues, respond to restaurant partners, and/or address urgent matters. OpenTable will always abide by and consider local laws and regulations.InclusionWe’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. We know the best ideas come when we bring different voices to the table, so we're building a team as dynamic as the diners and restaurants we serve—and fostering a culture where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.
