Beyond offering recruitment services and placements, we are driven to establish a long-term relationship with job seekers and companies throughout the North America.Studenttimes Staffing Solutions Inc has established itself as a niche recruitment firm specializing in Manufacturing ,Supply Chain & Logistics, Industrial & Skilled Trades, Clerical & Administration, Information Technology, Finance & Accounting, and Sales & Marketing for all levels within an organization from senior to administrative.Location: Mississauga, OntarioReporting to: Sales Manager / Director of Business DevelopmentType: Full‑time, B2B sales role, driving growth in logistics, freight and supply‑chain services.Required: Valid Canadian driver’s license + own car (for client visits, networking, etc.)Company Overview:A full‑service North‑American logistics and freight organization offering trucking (TL/LTL), rail, flatbed, ground freight, warehousing & distribution, and specialized project services.They pride themselves on reliability, professionalism, integrated supply‑chain solutions and cost‑efficiency.Working here means representing a trusted partner in the logistics sector and helping build and grow their B2B client base.Role PurposeThe Sales / Business Development Associate will:Identify and engage new business customers (companies needing freight, warehousing/distribution, cross‑border logistics)Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, upsell additional servicesConduct client visits (hence requirement for driving license + car) in the Greater Toronto Area and possibly across Ontario/nearby regionsPresent logistics solutions, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and close dealsCollaborate with operations, dispatch and service teams to ensure client expectations are metTrack sales metrics, generate reports, feed opportunity pipeline, and participate in strategic growth planningKey ResponsibilitiesProspect new corporate clients (manufacturers, e‑commerce, 3PL, importers/exporters) through cold‑calls, networking, referrals, industry eventsQualify leads, conduct needs assessments and customize service offerings aligned with company’s capabilities (road, rail, warehousing, specialized projects)Present and demonstrate value propositions: e.g., cost savings, reliable delivery, integrated logistics, full‑service solutionsPrepare detailed proposals and quotations, follow up to close the saleManage and nurture client relationships post‑sale—ensure satisfaction, identify opportunities for expansion (e.g., warehousing add‑ons, cross‑border shipping)Maintain CRM records, update pipeline, forecast sales, and report to sales leadershipAttend trade shows, industry conferences, client meetings and events as requiredDrive locally (GTA/Mississauga) with your car to meet clients, build face‑to‑face rapportCandidate Profile / RequirementsMust‑have:Proven B2B sales experience (3+ years preferred) in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing or related industryStrong sales acumen: prospecting, closing, building relationships, negotiating contractsValid Canadian driver’s license and reliable own vehicle (for client visits, meetings)Excellent communication skills (verbal + written) and presentation skillsSelf‑motivated, goal‑oriented with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsComfortable working in a dynamic, service‑oriented environment where coordination with operations mattersAbility to travel locally (GTA/Greater Toronto Area) for client meetingsGood understanding of logistics, supply chain dynamics and value‑added services (advantageous)Nice‑to‑have:Prior experience selling complex logistics/transportation/warehousing servicesFamiliarity with cross‑border (Canada/USA) logistics solutionsExisting network of contacts in manufacturing / import / export / e‑commerce sectorCRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)Strong analytic skills: ability to present data or ROI arguments to clientsWhat We OfferOpportunity to join a dynamic and growing logistics company in North AmericaCompetitive base salary + commission / bonus structure tied to performanceCar‑allowance or mileage reimbursement for local travel (if applicable)Training and support: you’ll receive product/service training, sales tools, marketing collateral and work closely with operations teamsGrowth opportunities: as the business expands, there’s potential to move into senior sales roles, territory management or account managementOffice located in Mississauga with access to major transportation corridors — good context for logistics salesHow to ApplyPlease send your resume and a cover letter to jobs@studenttimes.com.
