Our success is measured by exceptional health outcomes, lower medical costs, an outstanding child and family experience, and a rewarding environment for our clinicians and staff.Position DescriptionThe Business Development Manager - South Florida will drive Bluebird Kids Health’s growth across South Florida by cultivating referral relationships that translate directly into new patient acquisition. This is a field-based role (approximately 80% in the field) responsible for building partnerships with OB/GYNs, hospitals, and other healthcare and service organizations (e.g. United Ways, Boys & Girls Clubs, Children’s Services Councils, and others who care for and/or provide services in support of expecting parents, families, and children.The ideal candidate is a strategic, relationship-driven, execution-oriented salesperson – someone who can build trust with diverse partners, think critically about market dynamics, and turn insights into action. They combine warmth and curiosity with a disciplined, data-informed approach to territory management.Reporting to the Director of Growth, this role works closely with local practice leaders, marketing, and operations to develop and execute territory strategies that expand Bluebird’s reach and impact across Palm Beach and Broward Counties.What You’ll DoDrive access and new patient growth goals: Develop and execute a structured outreach strategy to build and strengthen relationships with OB/GYNs, hospitals, urgent care centers, and other social service entities who work with families in need of pediatric care Meet and exceed growth goals: Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and creativity in achieving monthly engagement and channel targets Manage a defined territory: Prioritize high-value targets and maintain a strong in-person presence across practices and hospitals in South Florida Analyze and act: Use referral and market data to identify patterns, generate hypotheses, and test new approaches to improve conversion and engagement Develop and execute engagement events: Host lunch & learns, hospital in-services, and office visits to educate providers and staff on Bluebird’s care model and referral process Own the pipeline: Manage and track outreach activities, meetings, and follow-ups in the CRM to ensure timely engagement and measurable progress Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with marketing to develop tailored outreach materials, messaging, and campaigns; provide real-time field feedback to refine growth strategies Translate insights into action: Distill market trends and feedback into recommendations that inform strategy, messaging, and resource allocation Represent Bluebird in the community: Serve as a trusted ambassador at coalition meetings, health fairs, and professional events, building goodwill and brand awareness Other duties as assigned What You’ll Need6+ years of experience in business development, provider relations, or sales within the healthcare industry (e.g., hospital liaison, managed care, or pharmaceutical sales) Proven success in building and maintaining long-term professional relationships that drive measurable growth Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – able to interpret data, identify insights, and develop actionable strategies Highly organized, process-driven, and disciplined in managing outreach pipelines, follow-ups, and CRM documentation Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable presenting to both clinical and non-clinical audiences Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage time effectively, and deliver results in a field-based environment Outgoing, energetic, and comfortable representing Bluebird’s mission with authenticity and professionalism Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Reliable transportation required Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or Creole preferred Bluebird Kids Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
