Job Purpose: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and managing the sales pipeline to drive revenue growth. This job involves working closely with senior management to develop and execute business development strategies, managing client relationships, and contributing to the company’s overall success in the fintech and digital payments sectors. The BDM will focus on generating leads, closing deals, and ensuring long-term client satisfactionResponsibilities:•Support senior management in identifying and developing new business opportunities within the fintech and payments industries.•Execute strategic initiatives to acquire new clients, build strong relationships, and expand the company’s market presence.•Prepare proposals, presentations, and other documentation for client meetings, tailoring solutions to meet client needs.•Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, acting as the primary point of contact for business development activities.•Follow up on leads, manage client interactions, and ensure timely communication throughout the sales process.•Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.•Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring that all leads are tracked, nurtured, and converted into successful business deals.•Monitor sales progress, report on key metrics, and work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment between business development efforts and overall sales goals.•Ensure that deals are executed in a timely manner and that all necessary documentation is prepared and signed.•Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts.•Analyse the competitive landscape and provide insights to senior management on emerging opportunities.•Collaborate with marketing teams to generate leads and develop promotional campaigns that support business development efforts.•Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer success, to ensure alignment and collaboration on business development initiatives.•Provide feedback to the product team based on client interactions, helping to shape the company’s offerings in line with market demand.•Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.•Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.Qualifications•A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the securities. •Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage relationships with high-value clients.•Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on revenue generation and growth.•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.•Advanced degrees or certifications in sales or business development are a plus.
