Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in the City of Cape Town for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales growth. Daily responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans, negotiating contracts, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role also involves representing the company at industry events and providing insights to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship managementProven ability in strategic planning, market research, and identifying new growth opportunitiesExcellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skillsProficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting for informed decision-makingExperience working in B2B environments or the merchandise procurement industry is beneficialProactive problem-solving skills and capacity to handle complex projectsFamiliarity with AI-driven platforms or digital tools utilized for procurement management is an advantageBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
