We deliver standard or tailored solutions, from minor upgrades to full overhauls and complete equipment replacements across the MacGregor portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable, and future-ready operations.In addition to the above, we supply all types of MacGregor equipment to sailing vessels, supporting both existing and new installations across the global fleet.Join the Global Service Division at MacGregor as a Business Development Manager and become a key driver of growth within Service Projects. We are looking for a leader who moves beyond conventional sales, acting as a market intelligence expert and strategic execution leader.Your mission will be to identify and capitalize on high-growth opportunities in the Merchant sector globally, securing profitable contracts and defining how we rapidly scale our business to be the market leader.As a critical member of the Service Projects Leadership Team, this role is responsible for driving rapid, profitable growth by successfully integrating strategic market insight with strong commercial execution.More Tasks And ResponsibilitiesProactively analyze market trends, competitor actions, and customer needs to refine and evolve our business development strategy and portfolioLead complex commercial negotiations and proposal development with a strong focus on deal structure and maximizing long-term customer valueWork closely and collaboratively with the engineering, service, and project management departments to guarantee the alignment of our service offerings precisely with customer needsProvide sharp, analytical forecasts and performance reports to the managementAct as a high-impact company representative at key global industry events and customer executive meetings.Reporting directly to the Director, Service Projects located in Norway. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gothenburg , Sweden.What You’ll Need To SucceedThe successful candidate demonstrates exceptional commercial acumen and analytical marketing prowess, enabling them to rapidly structure highly profitable, complex deals and use data, segmentation, and competitive analysis to make high-stakes strategic decisions.We are looking for an individual who possesses the strategic vision to anticipate market disruption , while maintaining the resilience & drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment and proactively solve complex problems.You also have great verbal and written communication and negotiation skills. This is really important for building trust and successfully developing high-value professional relationships.Ideally you haveBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 5+ years' proven success in business development, high-growth sales, or complex service project management, ideally within the offshore, aftermarket services, engineering solutions, or capital equipment sectorsHigh Proficiency in CRM systems, advanced business analytics, and reporting toolsWillingness and flexibility to travel occasionallyFluent in both written and spoken English.Why MacGregorOur people are behind every success.
