Looking for an experienced commercial Business Controller with FP&A background for a MNC based in KL. A leading global hospitality group is seeking a Business Controller to oversee financial planning, reporting, and control for its Southeast Asia operations.About the Role Your new role As the Business Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic planning for multiple entity commercial business operations. This position offers the opportunity to partner closely with regional leadership and operation teams to optimize performance and support business growth. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead monthly closing and forecasting processes for resort P&Ls, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Analyze financial results, identify variances, and propose corrective actions to optimize costs and profitability.Budgeting & Planning: Coordinate annual budget and forecasting cycles, ensuring timely communication and compliance with group standards.Internal Controls & Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to financial procedures and identify areas for improvement.Strategic Projects: Support business cases for new business expansions and special projects, including pre-opening budget monitoring.Systems & Process Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of financial systems and reporting tools to enhance efficiency.Team Engagement: Act as a business partner to commercial finance teams, providing guidance, training, and fostering collaboration across functions. What you'll need to succeed Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.Minimum 5 years' experience in financial control, reporting, or similar roles, ideally within hospitality or multi-site operations.Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with tools like Hyperion, PowerBI, or Coupa is an advantage.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.Fluency in English is essential; regional exposure in Southeast Asia is a plus.
