Business Manager

We’re are excited to be partnering with a growing civil construction company to recruit a Business Manager who thrives on structure, compliance, and continuous improvement. This is a pivotal role where you’ll oversee financial, operational, and administrative systems to keep projects running smoothly and profitably.About The RoleReporting to the Managing Director, you’ll manage key business functions including:Financial & Claims Management - Ensure accurate invoicing, debtor control, and monthly profitability reporting.Fleet Management - Maintain compliance and optimize asset utilization using Fleet Pin.Purchase Order & Delegated Authority - Implement and enforce PO systems and approval frameworks.HR & Payroll Administration - Oversee timesheets, payroll, onboarding, and leave management.Health & Safety - Drive compliance through HazardCo and proactive PPE management.Systems & Reporting - Deliver timely, accurate reports and continuously improve workflows.What Success Looks Like100% compliance across invoicing, fleet, and safety systems.Debtor days under 30 and accurate monthly profitability reports.Zero overdue hazard or incident follow-ups.Implementation of process improvements that boost efficiency.About YouStrong financial acumen and understanding of construction claims.Operational discipline with a knack for compliance.Proficiency in systems like Xero, Fleet Pin, and HazardCo preferred.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Integrity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.If you have the skills mentioned above we would love to hear from you!Apply today or contact Sam Chatterley-Hodgson directly atsam.c@stellarrecruitment.co.nz
