This includes assessment, investigation, and clear management planning in a busy clinical environment.You will lead and support a committed team of junior doctors and nurses, coordinate care for a large cohort of IBD and Hepatology outpatients and contribute to safe and effective discharge planning.Elective endoscopy lists, participation in the on-call roster, and occasional remote outreach work are part of the position.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultant ward service with strong supervision and teaching for junior medical staff and students.Deliver regular elective outpatient endoscopy sessions and participate in the on-call roster.Contribute to departmental meetings including Consultant Meetings, M&M, Journal Club, and Radiology Meetings.Work within defined quality and safety standards to maintain safe, high-quality services.About youAHPRA Specialist registration and FRACP in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.Certification in Adult Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy through the Conjoint Committee, plus current recertification where required.Strong clinical assessment and management skills.Clear, confident communication with the ability to work well across cultures.Sound understanding of community support services and safe discharge planning.Commitment to improving Aboriginal health.It offers a unique clinical environment, diverse case mix, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on community health, especially in partnership with Aboriginal communities.
