Posting DetailsPosition InformationJob DescriptionRHS Job Title Business Office Assistant Job DescriptionPay Rate: $15.73 /hr.Position will primarily work out in both Shaw Hall and Snyder Hall.As a student Business Office Assistant, you will aid staff members in a Culinary Services business office in essential departmental operations. You will be responsible for keeping all information strictly confidential, and adhering to the highest practices of professionalism and team spirit. You will also be responsible for assisting with keeping the office running smoothly through a wide variety of tasks. It is often your job to be the face of the organization while interacting with a wide range of customers and clients.Typical Duties May IncludeProvide routine clerical support within a Culinary Services business officeAnswer phones, make copies, operate various office equipmentPerform data entry, assist in maintaining records and accounts, run system reports to maintain and update report filesComplete project assignmentsRun errandsProcess mail, incoming & outgoingAssist with organizing eventsCovering operational breaks such as the host/receptionist areaAdditional duties as assignedWork operational shifts on an every other weekend basesAny questions about applying for this position please contact Eric Christensen at chris461@msu.eduRequired Qualifications Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year) Have a demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service, and a strong desire to deliver outstanding Spartan experiences to both guests and teammates. Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.Work hours are flexible between 8am-4:30pm. You will be scheduled for weekend shifts on an alternating weekend basis. During the school year domestic student employees may not work more than 29 hours per work week, and international student employees may not work more than 20 hours per work week.
