As such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.The BC Health Workday Program is a provincial initiative with seven participating BC health organizations (FHA, IHA, ISLH, NHA, PHC, PHSA and VCHA). The program began in 2023 to implement a Human Capital Management System (HCMS) software solution as part of the BC Health Human Resources Strategy to transform HR services. Designed by Workday Canada, the new provincial platform will replace existing HR and payroll systems in the health organizations with a single, unified technical system that will standardize and modernize HR and payroll services. It is a significant transformation in BC and is vital to the sustainability of BC’s health system.Reporting to the Manager, Business Function Products, the Business Products Coordinator, BC Health Workday supports the planning and implementation of the BC Health Workday program by liaising with business product managers to ensure that the project is completed according to plan. The Business Products Coordinator, BC Health Workday provides support to managers within an assigned functional area by participating in management meetings, providing support on strategic and confidential initiatives including those related to HR business product system and process development / re-development; compiling confidential reports, employee data and information for leadership to inform decision making, providing feedback and recommendations on systems/workflow, tracking deliverables and maintaining, recording project documentation in preparation for configuration, testing and system integration.Key AccountabilitiesSupports HR business product areas (core human capital management, recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, reporting and dashboards, workforce planning and security) in development and re-development of core systems and processes through documenting requirements, changes, and discussions with program partners, gathering information, providing feedback and recommendations on systems/workflow, and completing research as assigned.Prepares and compiles a variety of documents, including reports, spreadsheets, statistics, briefing notes, and presentations that includes confidential HR information for internal program leadership and executive leadership using a range of word processing and spreadsheet software packages. Coordinates and regularly attends confidential management meetings where information regarding team composition, classification frameworks, salary structures, workforce planning, upcoming changes and strategies are discussed.Provides support to business product managers by tracking deliverables, milestones, and maintaining accurate project documentation and records of design decisions to support knowledge transfer and post-implementation reference.Support business product managers with coordination and documentation of recruitment and hiring processes.Coordinates activities associated with committees, working groups, and task groups, including collating and reporting progress on key initiatives.Accountable for all administrative logistics for meetings, events, education sessions, workshops, video conferences, and teleconferences including appropriate space, equipment, and materials.Compiles and coordinates the dissemination of information and knowledge related to BC Health Workday business product teams.Accountable for ad hoc requests for information, answers emails, and re-directs queries, as required.Supports the financial management of the project by tracking all invoices and costing with finance and creates summary reports as requested.QualificationsA level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a health related discipline, with a minimum of three to five (3 - 5) years recent related experience working within a large complex organization. Experience in healthcare, HR Management Systems, and project coordination are an assetDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal forms.Demonstrated program and project management skills and proficiency with a variety of pertinent computer software.Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, organize, and evaluate using critical thinking and problem solving skills.Demonstrated ability to collate/analyze data and proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and graphing.What We BringEvery PHSA employee enables the best possible patient care for our patients and their families.
