About The RoleReporting to the Senior Buyer, this role generates value for the Whyalla businesses from the engagement of contractors and suppliers.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeManage sourcing events up to $1mRaise purchase orders to approved requisitions within procurement sourcing guidelinesEnsuring tender timelines deliver outcomes in accordance with overall portfolio of workProvide market engagement, including in depth knowledge of suppliers of servicesWork in a business partnering relationship with a number of key stakeholders across the business to achieve the best outcomes for the companyEnsuring visibility and understanding of leading-edge sourcing strategies and practicesYou’re approachable, friendly, and ideally bring experience from mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry — though transferable skills from other sectors are also valued.
