C&M Designer - Lincoln

Job DescriptionDesigner will establish a streamlined and collaborative design workflow between Lincoln CMF NA and China CMF designstudios, ensuring alignment in strategy, execution, and brand consistency across the Lincoln brand.Based in the Ford China Design Centre, the Designer will be responsible for Lincoln CMF Programs reporting into LincolnDesign North America and will be required to support key meetings across both time zonesResponsibilitiesConduct and monitor trends, technology, innovations and various movements e.g. lifestyle/culturalCreation and Development of CMF Design Themes to Program ContentCreation and Development of CMF Design Concepts to Strategic WorkstreamsRealisation of Colour and Materials design concepts into production ready solutionsPresentation of CMF Design Proposals with creative imagery and physical materials to support design related discussionsPrepare imagery to support milestone reviews to realise final Exterior and Interior contentSupport product development maturity through physical model builds and digital tools such as VRED and VRFollow CMF related program work from conceptual phase through to feasibility and production phaseProactively partake in cross functional program and engineering industrialisation workstreamsDevelop directional and strategic CMF summary documents support builds and Product Letter publishingWork with Suppliers to develop all CMF materials for both internal builds and final product developmentSupport Colour Assessment and Colour Harmony Reviews both Raw Material and Prototype PartsPreparation of research vehicles, show car and media event supportQualificationsDual Language skills (Chinese and English) with strong verbal and written English SkillsBachelor/Master degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design or Product DesignSignificant experience developing Colour and Materials for cars and/or productsExperience in conducting colour assessments and colour harmonyKnowledge of materials and technologiesExcellent visual expression and communicationProficiency in PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, VRED, AliasWork effectively as team player internally and externallyAbility to plan and prioritize workloadsColour Aptitude Certificate*Product design experience and/or competenceGraphic design experience and/or competence3D Modelling software abilities (Alias-Blender)V-Red Visualization and rendering ability
