ResponsibilitiesAbout the teamThe FMCG, "Fast Moving Consumer Goods" team at TikTok E-commerce partners with leading brands and emerging sellers across categories such as beauty, personal care, food, and household essentials.About the roleAs the Category Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business growth and category success of TikTok E-commerce in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for your assigned cluster — shaping its direction, driving commercial outcomes, and building a sustainable merchant ecosystem.- Drive Strategy and Execution: Formulate and execute the go-to-market, seller/brand growth, and merchandise strategy for your category or cluster.- Translate Goals into Impact: Break down overall business targets into actionable, measurable plans, and lead the team to achieve them.- Merchant Ecosystem Management: Monitor category performance, identify high-potential merchants and breakout product opportunities, and stay ahead of emerging market trends and risks.- Operational Excellence: Implement key merchant programs and initiatives that drive both short-term growth and long-term sustainability.- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a category team, ensure OKRs are met, and foster a culture of performance, agility, and collaboration.QualificationsMinimum Qualification(s)- Minimum Bachelor's degree or above- 5 years of experience in e-commerce platform, consulting firm or internet strategy, industry or market research and business analytics with eCommerce relevant experience- Have an in-depth knowledge of e-commerce ecosystem, value proposition and writing business proposals by identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs- Combine analytical rigor with business intuition, and you know how to turn insight into action.- Strong project delivery, commercial negotiations and relationship management along with deep analytical acumen- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, able to align teams, inspire execution, and deliver tangible business results.Preferred Qualification(s)- Experience working with e-commerce platform.About TikTokTikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video.
