PURPOSE OF JOB As an Assistant Underwriter you will be supporting the back-office retention team in the Property and Casualty department.

This role is predominantly renewals and retentions, but may involve supporting customers that have a query, addressing a complaint and providing detailed information about policies, products, and services. Job ResponsibilitiesWorking with a team of Assistant Underwriters to ensure targets for renewals and retention are met. Using insurance software to generate quotations, accurately adding and processing renewals, scanning, and filing of correspondence.

Assist customers with queries or complaints to address their needs and escalate to management where appropriateAssist with the completion of policy proposals or any other relevant forms, and follow up with clients on any outstanding documentation, policy renewals, and paymentEnsure that all work is completed for authorization dailyOther related duties and responsibilities may be assignedRequirementsAn associate degree and/or certificate in Insurance, or relevant work experienceAt least 2 years of experience in customer service or a related fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with an eye for detailAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suites and customer service softwareKnowledge of insurance products and services is a plusA strong work ethic with a positive and friendly demeanor BenefitsCayman First offers a competitive compensation package with eligibility for a discretionary bonus, subsidized health insurance for employees and dependents, preferred home and motor insurance, a great company culture and work life balance.
