Centre Manager - Wollongong Central

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day management of Wollongong Central Shopping Centre and maximise its financial performance. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and implement strategies that achieve the owner’s vision for success.About HabenHaben is a privately owned funds and property management business that specialises in unlocking value from retail shopping centres currently located across the East coast of Australia. We are growing rapidly whilst maintaining our personal touch, and care both about our community of co-investors and partners, and the communities where our assets are located.About the roleLead, mentor and support a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellencePrepare and implement long-term strategies for the Centre that meet shopper needs and align with the owner’s visionMaintain a vibrant casual mall leasing strategy to strengthen foot traffic and drive non-lease income streamsBuild strong relationships with retailers, contractors, the local community, and other stakeholdersContribute to marketing and branding strategies and assist retailers with marketing supportOversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, arrears control, and reportingEnsure compliance with lease administration, rent reviews, and tenant obligationsManage the Centre to the highest standards of presentation, safety, and risk managementWork closely with the Operations Manager on OPEX and CAPEX programs, tenders, and sustainability initiativesIdentify opportunities for income growth and cost savingsStay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity, making recommendations for improvementAbout youExperience as a Centre Manager or Retail Manager in a shopping centre environmentTertiary qualifications in business or a related field (desirable)Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within property or retail managementStrong financial and accounting skills, including budgeting, arrears management, and reportingProficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems (e.g., MRI)Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationshipsProven experience leading teams and driving continuous improvementGood understanding of retail lease requirements and the drivers of a successful shopping centreStrong organisational skills and attention to detailBased at our Wollongong Central Shopping Centre, this is an exciting time to both join Haben and be a part of a growing business.
