Through its innovative marketplace platform, Eveready connects technology providers, financial institutions, project developers, and end users to scale clean energy adoption.To accelerate growth, Eveready seeks a visionary CEO to deepen market penetration, strengthen climate innovation, expand project portfolios, enhance operational excellence, and scale climate-finance capabilities in alignment with global sustainability frameworks.JOB SUMMARYThe CEO will provide strategic, operational, financial, and commercial leadership across Eveready’s clean energy, climate technology, and digital marketplace portfolio. This role requires a leader with strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, climate finance, carbon markets, ESG standards, and public-private partnership ecosystems.The CEO will drive growth in renewable power generation, energy-efficiency services, climate-smart infrastructure, and digital marketplace performance. They will oversee regulatory engagement, innovation programs, fundraising, and team leadership while positioning Eveready as a regional leader in sustainability and climate resilience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.   Strategic Leadership & Climate VisionLead Eveready’s long-term strategy aligned with global climate goals (Paris Agreement, SDGs, ESG frameworks).Identify and develop growth opportunities across renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate financing, and sustainability technologies.Guide strategic expansion into solar, wind, mini-grids, hybrid power systems, clean cooking, and climate-smart agriculture.Represent Eveready at national and international climate forums, industry conferences, and policy platforms.2.   Operational Oversight & Project DeliveryProvide executive oversight across renewable energy projects, engineering operations, and climate technology deployments.Strengthen operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance across all business units.Ensure strong governance across project development, environmental impact assessments, and engineering standards.Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the company.3.   Business Growth, Partnerships & Market DevelopmentExpand marketplace services, vendor onboarding, and energy-service partner networks.Build partnerships with governments, DFIs, development agencies, corporates, energy financiers, and climate funds.Lead fundraising through equity, debt, climate grants, blended finance, and carbon markets.Explore new climate-related sectors including EV infrastructure, smart grids, green buildings, and sustainable infrastructure.4.   Financial Management & Climate Finance StrategyOversee budgets, P&L, cost controls, and overall financial sustainability.Strengthen financial models for renewable project financing, leasing, PPAs, carbon revenue, and energy-as-a-service models.Ensure compliance with climate finance standards (Green Climate Fund, SDG-linked financing, carbon verification).Guide investment decisions for new projects, partnerships, and technologies.5.   Technology, Innovation & Digital SystemsLead adoption of smart technologies including IoT, data analytics, energy-efficiency systems, and digital twins.Oversee the digital marketplace platform ensuring reliability, scalability, and customer value.Drive R&D for climate-resilient technologies, storage solutions, and energy-efficient industrial systems.Promote cross-sector innovation in green transport, clean cooking, agriculture, and circular economy models.6.   ESG, Sustainability & Regulatory ComplianceChampion ESG reporting in line with global standards (GRI, TCFD, SASB, IFC Performance Standards).Ensure environmental and social safeguards across all projects.Strengthen community engagement, climate adaptation programs, and green job creation.Maintain strong regulatory compliance with energy, environmental, and climate policies.7.   People Leadership & Organizational DevelopmentBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across engineering, climate finance, project management, marketplace operations, and sustainability divisions.Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, safety, and environmental stewardship.Lead talent recruitment and development for climate and energy specialists.Ensure adherence to professional, safety, and ESG standards across the company.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEEducationMaster’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Climate Change, Energy Engineering, or related field (preferred).Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Economics, Sustainability, or related discipline.Professional Experience10–15+ years senior leadership experience in renewable energy, sustainability, climate technology, or infrastructure.Proven track record leading large energy or climate portfolios, engineering operations, or clean-tech ventures.Demonstrated experience in climate finance, investment mobilization, and public–private partnerships.Experience scaling organizations, managing cross-functional teams, and leading regional
