For over two decades, Assurecloud has been a reliable partner, ensuring confidentiality, impartiality, and quality in safeguarding health and safety standards.Role Description:This is a full-time role located in Cape Town for a Certification Sales Executive at Assurecloud. The Certification Sales Executive will be responsible to drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities for food safety certification services. The Sales Executive will build strong relationships with clients across the food value chain, promoting Assurecloud’s certification portfolio and ensuring customer satisfaction.Key responsibilities include:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in food manufacturing, processing, retail, and distribution sectors.Promote certification services including FSSC 22000, FSSC 24000, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and related audits.Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed targets.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.Provide consultative support on compliance and certification pathways.Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.Collaborate with technical teams, auditors, and marketing to ensure seamless service delivery.Represent Assurecloud at industry events, expos, and webinars.Qualifications:Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, Biotechnology, or Food Technology.Experience:Minimum 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in food safety, compliance, or certification services.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Knowledge:Food Safety Standards & Regulations: ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and relevant legislation.Certification Processes: Audit cycles, certification bodies, accreditation requirements, compliance documentation.Industry Sectors: Food manufacturing, processing, retail, hospitality, and agriculture.Sales & CRM Tools: Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.Risk & Compliance: Understanding of risk management principles and food safety risk mitigation.Consumer Protection & Legal Frameworks: Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act; Consumer Protection Act.Technical Communication: Ability to translate complex certification requirements into clear proposals.Skills:Strong communication and negotiation skills.Consultative selling approach with technical acumen.Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.Multilingual abilities are a plus.Other:Own vehicle & valid drivers licence.Valid passport.Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
